Today I discovered some strange historical facts that I wasn't told at school, and that left me perplexed!

For example, can you believe that Napoleon was chased by rabbits on a hunt he organized? It sounds like a joke, but it really happened!

And there's more: I discovered that Abraham Lincoln, besides being a great leader, was a talented fighter, participating in hundreds of fights and losing only one. I had no idea that about him!

I was also surprised to learn that pirates didn't wear eye patches just because of injuries, but to keep one eye adapted to the dark, making their actions on ships easier. Who would have thought?

Another strange fact I noted here was about the Anglo-Zanzibar War, which lasted only 38 minutes in 1896. Honestly, I had never heard of it before.

And the curiosities don't stop: imagine my surprise when I discovered that ancient Rome had automatic machines that sold holy water in temples! A kind of ancient vending machine, isn't it incredible?

And there is one more thing about Einstein that intrigued me: he turned down an invitation to be president of Israel, claiming a lack of political skill. A genius who knew his limits well!

Oh, and how strange to think that in the 19th century, dentures were made from human teeth taken from soldiers killed in battle. Creepy, isn't it?

Another bizarre story is that in the Middle Ages, animals were judged and even executed for crimes. Poor pigs, they were the most accused!

I was shocked to discover that until 2013 it was technically illegal for women to wear trousers in Paris. Thankfully, this antiquated law has long since been abolished.

And finally, I found it very funny to learn that Benjamin Franklin wrote a humorous essay about flatulence. It sounds like a joke, but it's true!

These weird historical facts made my day more fun and interesting. Tomorrow I'll be back with more amazing discoveries to share here. See you later, diary!
